Native performance
Swift compiles to native code via LLVM; startup, smoothness and energy use all benefit from direct access to the system.
Expertise · Swift & iOS
Etixio delivers Swift iOS development for your native apps, built around how your users work and the features of their devices. We design, build, publish on the App Store and maintain the app, including its AI features, on-device or through your services.
Understanding the technology
Swift is a programming language for the Apple ecosystem. On iOS, it lets you build an app that stays close to the system’s components and features. Our work covers interfaces, state management, exchanges with services and distribution preparation.

The benefits for your product
Swift is Apple’s language for iOS, iPadOS, macOS and watchOS. A native Swift app offers the most direct access to system features and the experience that best matches iPhone users’ expectations.
Swift compiles to native code via LLVM; startup, smoothness and energy use all benefit from direct access to the system.
SwiftUI, UIKit and all of Apple’s frameworks (Core Data, Core ML, ARKit, widgets, notifications) are available as soon as they are released.
Strict typing, optionals, automatic memory management and concurrency checks reduce common errors.
SwiftUI lets you describe screens declaratively, with live previews and built-in animations.
Xcode, Instruments for profiling, Swift Package Manager for dependencies, TestFlight for test builds.
Our scope of work
Choose SwiftUI or UIKit components based on the existing code and the needs of each screen.
Organize API calls, app state and data storage.
Check accessibility, permissions and behavior on the selected range of devices.
Our Swift expertise
Modern Swift (async/await, actors, macros), SwiftUI for new screens, UIKit for existing apps and fine-grained control.
MVVM with Combine or Observation, Clean Architecture and dependency injection, Coordinator for complex navigation.
Core Data or SwiftData for persistence, URLSession for APIs, Core ML and Vision for on-device machine learning, ARKit for augmented reality.
Xcode and Instruments, Swift Package Manager, XCTest and Swift Testing, Fastlane and GitHub Actions, distribution via TestFlight and App Store Connect.
iOS and AI
An iOS app can combine two levels of AI. On the device, Core ML and Vision handle text recognition, image classification or document analysis without sending data anywhere; on compatible devices, Apple’s Foundation Models framework provides access to an on-device language model. For heavier tasks — an assistant connected to your data, search across your documents — the app calls models through your back-end, which protects the keys and controls the data.
We build all of it, from the interface to the server-side service. See our AI solutions for businesses.

In the field
An app for viewing records may need to display up-to-date information while keeping some items stored locally. We organize loading, synchronization and offline states. Sensitive data, permissions and session errors are handled within the journeys, with checks on the target devices.
The choices that matter
The choice between SwiftUI and UIKit depends in particular on the product and the existing code. We examine constraints around OS versions, accessibility and native features. App lifecycle changes and interruptions must be tested to preserve user input and operations in progress. When the app also needs to run on Android, we compare native development with Flutter or React Native.
From work to deliverables
The scope of work specifies the components to build or take over and the acceptance criteria. We provide what is needed to understand the changes, verify them and continue the work.
Frequently asked questions
Swift is Apple’s modern language for its platforms. It combines native performance, safety (strict typing, automatic memory management) and productivity. It is the standard choice for a native iOS app.
Swift for any new project; Apple focuses its new features on Swift and SwiftUI. Objective-C remains in older apps, which can migrate gradually since both languages can coexist in the same project.
SwiftUI for new screens, thanks to its declarative approach and live previews. UIKit remains relevant for existing apps, some highly specific interfaces or support for older iOS versions. The two can be integrated with each other.
Excellently: native compilation, fast startup, smooth animations and good energy efficiency. We measure with Instruments on the target devices to identify screens or processes to optimize.
MVVM with Combine or Observation to connect state to screens, Clean Architecture to separate business logic, Coordinator for complex navigation. SwiftUI naturally encourages an MVVM-style architecture.
Core Data or SwiftData for local persistence, SQLite via dedicated libraries, URLSession with async/await for your APIs, and iCloud sync if the product lends itself to it.
The app is built and signed with Xcode, uploaded to App Store Connect, then submitted for Apple’s review. TestFlight lets you distribute test builds; we automate these steps with Fastlane and continuous integration.
Yes. Core ML, Vision and the Foundation Models framework enable on-device processing; heavier tasks go through models called via your back-end. We build both sides, with the security and monitoring needed in production.
A fixed-price project to design and publish an app, a dedicated team to evolve it over the long term, or a targeted engagement: performance, migration from Objective-C to Swift, SwiftUI adoption.
