Define the deliverables
Describe the features, integrations and acceptance criteria included in the scope.
Our service
In a fixed-price IT project, Etixio commits to a result: software, a product or an AI solution delivered on a scope, milestones and acceptance criteria defined together. We scope, build, test and release to production, including when it means taking an AI POC and turning it into a service you can run.
Organizations with a defined need that want a result without managing a technical team themselves
Application, upgrade, AI project or AI POC takeover delivered to production, with code and documentation
An Etixio tech lead and a project manager; engineers in Madagascar and Mauritius
From a few weeks for a limited scope to several months for a more substantial application
What we deliver
A fixed-price engagement is a commitment on a defined delivery scope. It fits when features, integrations and acceptance criteria can be described with enough precision. Scoping is used to prepare this agreement and to separate out the assumptions still to be cleared.
Describe the features, integrations and acceptance criteria included in the scope.
Share the milestones, expected sign-offs and each party’s responsibilities.
Assess the impact of a change before adding it to the scope, budget and schedule.

What we deliver at a fixed price
Fixed price is not limited to small work packages. It suits any project whose expected result can be described and verified, and we take charge of the entire delivery.
Web or mobile application, business software, SaaS platform, customer portal or internal tool, delivered with its code, tests, documentation and production release. See custom software development.
A new module, a redesigned user journey, modernization of an existing application or a migration, with a clearly bounded scope and a prepared cutover.
An assistant or agent connected to your tools, or an AI feature added to your product (document search, extraction, summarization), with the evaluations and monitoring needed for production. See our enterprise AI solutions and our AI agents and chatbots.
Your prototype works in a demo. We take over the code, the data and the model choices, then add authentication, permissions, error handling, monitoring and cost control until it becomes a service you can run.
Why fixed price
A fixed-price IT project fits when the need is defined and you want a clear framework for budget, timelines and deliverables, without managing a technical team yourself.
Prioritized features, specifications and acceptance criteria are approved before the commitment. This framework limits drift and secures execution.
The estimate is based on identified deliverables and an approved scope. You know what is included, what is not, and how a new request is handled.
Intermediate milestones, incremental deliveries and formal sign-offs let you track progress on tangible results.
A project manager coordinates progress tracking and is accountable for meeting commitments; the Etixio tech lead owns the architecture and is accountable for the quality of what is delivered. You have clear points of contact, not a team to manage.
From work to deliverables
We describe the deliverables, milestones and required sign-offs. Demos provide visibility during development, then acceptance testing checks the agreed criteria. Any change is assessed before it is added, to make its effects on the work, the schedule and the budget explicit.
Needs analysis, prioritization, and definition of deliverables and acceptance criteria. See IT project scoping.
Approved budget, defined milestones, structured schedule. An IT project estimate can come before this step.
Architecture, development, code reviews, automated tests and intermediate deliveries with demos.
Functional acceptance testing and verification of the agreed acceptance criteria.
Deployment, handover of documentation and post-delivery support, followed by maintenance if you wish.
The project team
For each fixed-price project, we put together a delivery team coordinated by a project manager and led by an Etixio tech lead. The tech lead owns the architecture and technical choices, reviews the code, organizes the team’s day-to-day work, remains your technical point of contact and ensures continuity (documentation, handover). You set the priorities and approve the deliverables; the tech lead is accountable for the quality of what is delivered.
Our engineers work from Madagascar and Mauritius, with a 1 to 3-hour time difference from Paris. Depending on the project, the team brings together front-end, back-end or full-stack development, QA, DevOps, data and AI, and product management. It follows our engineering standard:
Ownership and integration
Everything remains yours: source code and repositories, access and accounts, tools, data and documentation. On a fixed-price project too, our teams work inside your environment (your Git repositories, your ticketing tool, your environments, your security rules), and you can take back control at any time or hand the next phase to another team.
Technologies
In fixed-price development, technologies are chosen during scoping based on your business constraints, your existing environment and your plans for future growth. We favor proven technologies that your team will be able to take over.
JavaScript and TypeScript, Python, PHP, Java and .NET.
React and Angular on the front end, Node.js, Symfony and Laravel on the server side.
Docker, GitHub or GitLab, continuous integration and deployment to automate testing and production releases.
Cloud hosting, process automation, integration of AI models (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) and agents connected to your tools.

The right model
A defined scope, an approved budget and a commitment on deliverables. Best when the need is clear and you want to secure timeline, budget and result without managing a technical team.
A team that works exclusively on your product over time and builds up its knowledge. Best when the roadmap evolves continuously. See the dedicated IT team.
An Etixio engineer, guided by our tech lead, handles a specific technical topic within your team for a limited period. See offshore IT staffing.
A project delivered at a fixed price can then be maintained and extended by a dedicated team that takes over the knowledge gained.
The choices that matter
A fixed price does not remove the need for business involvement. The access, content and sign-offs expected from the client are identified. If the need changes significantly or remains exploratory, an initial scoping phase or incremental delivery may provide a better-suited framework.
For an AI project, acceptance criteria also cover the quality of responses, measured on an agreed evaluation set, and operating conditions (response time, costs, logging). Each industry adds its own compliance, security or integration constraints, which are taken into account from scoping onward.
How we work together
You can walk us through how things currently work, the users involved and the difficulties you face. The documents, examples and access needed are specified afterwards, depending on the agreed scope. The first goal is to understand the work to be done and the dependencies that may affect how it unfolds.
Frequently asked questions
A model in which the scope, deliverables, budget and timelines are defined during scoping, with acceptance criteria approved upfront. Unlike time & materials, you buy a result, not time. At Etixio, we manage the project end to end from France, with an Etixio tech lead and our engineers in Madagascar and Mauritius.
With a fixed price, the commitment covers identified deliverables, with a defined scope, budget and timeline. With time & materials, you pay for time on an evolving scope. Fixed price suits a structured need; time & materials suits an open or rapidly changing scope.
Through scoping workshops that analyze business goals, technical constraints and priorities. Features are formalized, prioritized and turned into deliverables with precise acceptance criteria, which form the basis of the estimate.
An impact analysis assesses the adjustments needed to the budget and schedule. The change goes through additional scoping and formal approval before it is added, which keeps the project under control while remaining flexible.
From the scope approved during scoping. Each feature and each deliverable is analyzed to estimate the delivery effort. Any request outside the initial scope is assessed separately.
Projects with a defined need and formalized objectives, such as building or evolving applications, business platforms, internal tools or AI solutions. Fixed price fits when you want to secure budget, schedule and result without directly managing a technical team.
Yes, if the expected result can be described and verified. Together we set an evaluation set and acceptance criteria (response quality, response time, costs, security), then we deliver the service to production. When the achievable quality is uncertain, an initial prototype or scoping phase comes before committing to the rest.
You do. Source code, repositories, access, accounts, data and documentation remain yours. We work in your repositories and tools, and the documentation is kept up to date with each release, so your team or another one can take over the software.
From a few weeks for a limited scope to several months for a more substantial application. The schedule is set upfront, with intermediate milestones to track progress.
A fixed price commits to a scope, budget and deliverables defined at the outset. A dedicated team works exclusively on your product over time, with priorities that evolve with your roadmap. Fixed price suits a well-defined need; a dedicated team suits ongoing delivery capacity.
Tell us what you want to build, the users involved and your technical environment. Together we will define the scope, the milestones and the acceptance criteria.
