Define the scope
Specify the systems involved, access, authorizations and testing conditions.
Our service
We offer a free 30-minute security assessment call: we review your exposure with you and give you initial recommendations tailored to your context. This is not yet a penetration test. The pentest or security audit is then prepared, on a quote, on a defined and authorized scope. It is carried out by our teams and, depending on the topic, by our specialist cybersecurity partner; it documents the vulnerabilities found and prioritizes their remediation, and our teams can take on the fixes.
Organizations that want to know what an attacker could exploit in their applications and systems

Prioritized report and remediation plan; fixes can be done by our teams, then verified
What we deliver
A security assessment aims to identify weaknesses within an authorized scope: an application, interfaces or technical exposure. It requires clear objectives and rules of engagement. We define the work, the resources and the conditions of the engagement with you.
Specify the systems involved, access, authorizations and testing conditions.
Analyze the vulnerabilities identified and their impact in the context of the application.
Share the findings and the actions to take, then define any further checks.

Anticipate rather than react
New vulnerabilities emerge constantly, and automated scans are not enough to gauge what an attacker could actually exploit. A penetration test simulates attacks on your applications and infrastructure to pinpoint your weaknesses before they are used against you.
Findings describe what was tested, what was observed and under what conditions.
Each vulnerability is rated and ranked, so the most exposed areas are addressed first.
Fixes are written so that a development or operations team can plan them.
Fixes are verified once they are in place.
Types of tests
Testing for OWASP vulnerabilities, such as SQL injection, XSS or insecure direct object references (IDOR).
Internal and external security assessment, from reconnaissance to privilege escalation.
Review of configurations and permissions (IAM) on AWS, Azure or GCP, isolation and containers.
Testing of iOS and Android apps and their back end, including local data storage.
Assessing how alert your teams are to phishing or fake support calls.
From work to deliverables
Scoping identifies the systems, test accounts, restrictions and points of contact. Findings are documented with their context and impact, then linked to priority fixes. Retesting after remediation should be included in the scope, to tell an action in progress apart from an issue that is actually resolved.
Defining targets, objectives and constraints.
Identifying potential attack surfaces.
Attack simulation within the authorized scope, with full confidentiality.
A report with severity ratings, prioritization and an action plan.
Verification of fixes and support after the audit.

The choices that matter
A one-off assessment does not cover every risk or every future change. Testing must fit in with development practices, access management and maintenance. We clarify with you who is involved: our teams and, depending on the topic, our specialist cybersecurity partner. When our teams built the application under test, we recommend having the test carried out by a separate party to keep an independent view.
The work relies on recognized frameworks and tools (OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, OSINT, Burp Suite, Nessus, Metasploit). To make security an ongoing effort, see our cybersecurity and compliance program; for a broader look at code and architecture, see the technical audit.
How we work together
You can walk us through how things currently work, the users involved and the difficulties you face. The documents, examples and access needed are specified afterwards, depending on the agreed scope. The first goal is to understand the work to be done and the dependencies that may affect how it unfolds.
Frequently asked questions
No: what is free is a 30-minute security assessment call. We review your context and give you initial recommendations. The penetration test or security audit is then carried out on a quote, on a defined and authorized scope.
Our teams and, depending on the topic, our specialist cybersecurity partner. During scoping, we specify who works on each part of the scope, with which methods and tools. If our teams built the application under test, we recommend a separate party for the tests to keep an independent view.
A pentest, or penetration test, simulates real attacks on an authorized scope (application, API, network, cloud, mobile) to identify exploitable vulnerabilities and measure their impact.
An automated scan lists potential weaknesses. A pentest adds human analysis and controlled exploitation, to verify what an attacker could actually do and to prioritize fixes.
Web applications and APIs, internal and external networks, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), iOS and Android mobile apps and their back end, as well as team awareness through social engineering tests.
The vulnerabilities found, with their context, impact and priority level, along with a remediation action plan. Findings are written so your technical teams can act on them.
Testing conditions (environments, accounts, time windows, restrictions) are defined during scoping. Exploitation remains controlled and limited to the authorized scope.
Your teams, or ours. Etixio builds and maintains applications; our engineers can take on the fixes, and retesting is then carried out to confirm the issue is resolved.
No. It gives a snapshot at a given point in time. Security is maintained through development practices (code reviews, up-to-date dependencies, testing) and regular checks, for example as part of a cybersecurity program.
Tell us about your applications, your infrastructure and your concerns. In 30 minutes, we give you initial feedback, then together we define the scope to test and the quote.
