Shared scoping
Connect business objectives to architecture choices and delivery stages.
Our service
At Etixio, offshore IT development is how we produce software: a company based in France and French-speaking engineers in Madagascar and Mauritius, supervised by a tech lead. Our distributed teams work on a shared scope, with designated leads, technical standards and continuity of product knowledge, to build your software, integrate AI into it and maintain it.
Companies and software vendors that want to deliver more without growing their organization or waiting to hire
Company based in France, French-speaking engineers in Madagascar and Mauritius, 1 to 3 hours ahead of Paris
Dedicated team, fixed-price project or targeted reinforcement, led by a tech lead
A team is usually operational within four to eight weeks
What we build
Where the teams are located is a matter of organization. The project needs a scope, technical decisions and verifiable deliveries. Based in France, Etixio organizes delivery with its teams in Madagascar and Mauritius around a shared knowledge of the product.
Offshore IT development is therefore used to deliver: custom software, the evolution of a SaaS product, the takeover of an existing application or the production release of an AI solution.
Connect business objectives to architecture choices and delivery stages.
Share tools, coding conventions, reviews and validation criteria.
Prepare access, documentation and maintenance so the solution can keep evolving.

The reasons behind the choice
Offshore IT outsourcing is not primarily about cost. Well organized, it lets you deliver more, more regularly, without weighing down your organization.
Delivery capacity available within a few weeks lets you stick to the roadmap without waiting for hiring to come through.
Development, QA, DevOps, data and AI are brought in according to the work to be done, and adjusted when the project moves into a new phase.
A stable team builds up an understanding of the code, the users and the decisions, which limits the impact of turnover.
Automated tests, code reviews and continuous integration are part of the organization, not an option.
Our offshore IT development
We build and supervise delivery teams integrated into the way you work, with clear governance and shared quality practices. Each stage has an objective and a deliverable.
Technical and interpersonal assessment of engineers, then team composition based on the work to be done (development, tech lead, QA, DevOps, product).
Access, documentation, tools and project rituals are prepared before kickoff.
Sprints, demos, backlog management and a steady production release cadence.
Systematic code review, automated tests, continuous integration, secrets management, separate environments and living documentation.
Shared metrics, risk tracking and an action plan during reviews.
Planned replacements, knowledge transfer and a gradual scale-up plan.
Who does what
The Etixio tech lead owns the architecture and technical choices, reviews the code, organizes the team’s day-to-day work, remains your technical point of contact and ensures continuity (documentation, handover). We steer the project with you (priorities, trade-offs); the tech lead is accountable for the quality of what is delivered.
Ownership and integration
Everything remains yours: source code and repositories, access and accounts, tools, data and documentation. Distance changes nothing: our teams integrate into your information system (your Git repositories, your ticketing tool, your environments, your security rules), and you can take back control at any time.
Offshore and AI
Our teams build AI features into your software (embedded assistant, search across your documents, extraction or summarization), AI agents connected to your tools, and take over AI POCs to bring them all the way to production: authentication, monitoring, evaluations, cost control.
They also use AI in their own engineering, with human oversight through code reviews and tests. See our AI solutions for businesses.
From work to deliverables
We define the points of contact, the useful overlap hours, the tools and the responsibilities. Specifications and decisions remain accessible instead of depending on a meeting. Code reviews, demos and acceptance testing give visibility into the work. Dependencies on your information system and your teams are tracked as project items.
Objectives, constraints and risks are clarified; the scope, budget and schedule are set.
Targeted selection, interviews and validation by your teams to form a coherent whole.
Secure access, environments and rituals defined before the first development work.
Sprints, tests, acceptance testing and production releases, with regular visibility into progress.
Quality, performance and security are reviewed throughout the project, and practices adjusted.

Engagement models

The choices that matter
Distributed work requires dealing with validation delays and missing information. Aligning calendars is not enough. We plan the initial onboarding, the handover and the backup contacts needed so that no topic stays blocked for lack of context or a decision. With a 1 to 3 hour time difference from Paris, exchanges take place during your working hours.
The collaboration framework
You can present how things currently work, the users involved and the difficulties you face. The documents, examples and access required are specified afterwards, depending on the chosen scope. The first objective is to understand the work to be done and the dependencies that may affect how it unfolds.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, provided it relies on a clear architecture, solid scoping and structured project management. Having a tech lead, defined quality standards and explicit project governance makes it possible to keep a complex or critical project under control over time.
The risks relate to communication, code quality, understanding of the need and dependence on key people. They are managed through precise scoping, a defined architecture, shared standards and regular check-ins that make it possible to correct deviations early.
Through an engineering standard applied on every project: systematic code review, automated tests, continuous integration, secrets management, separate environments and living documentation; for AI, evaluation datasets with quality and cost monitoring. The Etixio tech lead is accountable for it.
Generally between four and eight weeks, including needs analysis, engineer selection, validations and onboarding. The timeline is shorter if the scope is already clearly defined.
With a clear division of roles, regular follow-up rituals and shared metrics. You set the priorities and make the trade-offs; the Etixio tech lead owns the architecture, reviews the code, organizes the team day to day and remains your technical point of contact, all within your tracking tools.
Yes, following a gradual and supervised scale-up plan. Onboarding new team members relies on documentation and knowledge transfer from the existing team, to preserve technical consistency.
Everything remains yours: source code, repositories, access, accounts, data and documentation. Our teams work inside your environment, under your security rules, with role-based access and clear contractual agreements. You can take back control at any time.
A dedicated team, integrated over the long term, supports continuity and product knowledge. Stability is reinforced by a clear vision of the project, technical supervision and a structured working framework.
Onshore brings together teams in the same country as the client, at higher cost. Nearshore relies on nearby countries. Offshore draws on more distant teams; in Madagascar and Mauritius, our French-speaking engineers work with a 1 to 3 hour time difference from Paris.
Yes. Our teams integrate AI models into your products and take over POCs to make them usable, with the authentication, monitoring, evaluations and cost tracking needed for production.
