Hybrid rendering, page by page
Static generation, server-side rendering, incremental regeneration or client-side rendering can coexist in the same project depending on the nature of each page.
Expertise · Next.js
Etixio delivers Next.js development for your React applications: interfaces, server-side rendering and data access in a single project. We build web products and portals, take over existing ones and add AI features to them, with streamed responses and a carefully designed conversational experience.
Understanding the technology
Next.js is a React-based framework that handles, among other things, routing and rendering modes for a web application. It can bring together public pages, authenticated areas and server-side exchanges. We choose how each user journey is built based on its data and its users.

The strengths for your product
Next.js suits web applications that need SEO, fast rendering and a flexible architecture between front end and server at the same time.
Static generation, server-side rendering, incremental regeneration or client-side rendering can coexist in the same project depending on the nature of each page.
Pages rendered on the server or generated ahead of time are directly readable by search engines and display faster on first load.
Code splitting, image and font optimization, and deferred script loading are provided by the framework.
App Router, React Server Components, Server Actions and API routes make it possible to place part of the logic on the server without a separate service.
Our scope of work
Choose the rendering mode based on content, interactions and SEO needs.
Define data loading, refreshes and invalidation rules.
Verify authenticated journeys, performance and behavior after deployment.
Our Next.js expertise
App Router and Pages Router, React Server Components, API routes and Server Actions; proxy (formerly middleware) limited to redirects, with authorization checked as close to the data as possible.
SSG, SSR, ISR and client-side rendering, with explicit caching and invalidation rules.
Image component, font and script optimization, Core Web Vitals monitoring.
PostgreSQL with Prisma, back-end services in Node.js or other stacks; deployment on Vercel, or self-hosted with Docker.
Next.js is built on React. For designing user journeys and screens, see our UX/UI for web and SaaS applications offering.
Next.js and AI
Next.js is a good foundation for the AI features of a web product: server components and API routes call the model without exposing keys, and the response is displayed progressively through streaming. The conversational experience then requires care: loading states, interrupting a response, source citations, history and validation before an action.
We build these interfaces and the services that power them, and take over prototypes to bring them to production. See our AI agents and chatbots and our enterprise AI solutions.

In the field
A portal can combine a public catalog and a personalized customer area. We separate what can be prepared or cached from what must be computed for each user. Checks cover access, data refreshes and consistency after a change, to avoid displaying a stale state or data intended for another account.
The choices that matter
The boundaries between server and browser code, caching and hosting conditions are architecture decisions. We check dependencies on deployment services and performance on real user journeys. An interface that is fast on first render may still need optimization of its interactions.
From work to deliverables
The scope of the engagement specifies the components to build or take over and the acceptance criteria. We prepare what is needed to understand the changes, verify them and continue the work.
Frequently asked questions
Next.js is a React framework that provides routing, server-side and static rendering, API routes and built-in optimizations. It makes it possible to build fast, well-indexed web applications without assembling these building blocks yourself.
Yes. It covers public pages, authenticated areas and part of the server logic in a single project. Decisions on caching, hosting and separation from back-end services must be made from the start.
A plain React application is rendered in the browser and requires adding routing, server-side rendering and optimizations. Next.js provides these elements and lets you choose the rendering mode page by page.
Static generation for stable content (landing pages, blog), server-side rendering for personalized content (dashboards), incremental regeneration for regularly updated content (catalog, news).
Server Components carry server data, Client Components carry interactive state. Context, useState or useReducer are often enough; Zustand or Redux Toolkit for complex global state; Server Actions for server-side mutations.
On Vercel, which supports it natively, on other platforms such as Netlify or AWS Amplify, or self-hosted with Node.js and Docker. The choice takes into account the features used, cost and your hosting constraints.
Any database accessible on the server side, for example PostgreSQL or MongoDB, often with Prisma. For substantial business logic, a separate back end remains preferable to API routes alone.
Yes. The model is called on the server, the response is streamed to the interface and the user’s permissions apply to the data accessed. We add logs, evaluations and cost tracking for production.
The proxy (called middleware before Next.js 16) handles quick redirects; it is not a security boundary, as the CVE-2025-29927 bypass showed. We check identity and permissions in every Server Action, API route and data-access function, and we apply the framework’s security updates.
A fixed-price project for a defined scope, a dedicated team to evolve your product over time, or a targeted engagement (migration to Next.js, App Router, performance).
Tell us about the application, the issue to address and the known constraints. We will review the dependencies and the first scope of work with your team.
