.NET C# Development: Robust, Scalable Enterprise Software

Etixio handles .NET C# development for your business software, services and integrations, in your Microsoft environment or on Linux and the cloud. We build, modernize .NET Framework applications and integrate AI into existing applications, all the way to production.

Understanding the technology

.NET & C# in your project.

.NET is a development platform; C# is one of its languages. Together they are used to build services, web applications and business processing. We work on component design, business rules and exchanges with the company’s databases and tools.

The benefits for your product

Why choose .NET and C#?

.NET is an open source, cross-platform platform backed by Microsoft. It is particularly well suited to enterprise applications that are part of a Microsoft information system, but runs just as well on Linux and in containers.

A clear roadmap

Long-term support (LTS) releases, including .NET 10, and integrated tooling (Visual Studio, Rider, command-line SDK) make it easier to plan upgrades.

A modern, typed language

C# combines strong typing, async/await, LINQ, pattern matching and record types, making business code explicit and verifiable.

Strong performance

ASP.NET Core and the .NET runtime are known for their performance on APIs and services, provided async, caching and data access are handled carefully.

An end-to-end ecosystem

ASP.NET Core for web and APIs, Blazor for user interfaces, .NET MAUI for mobile and desktop, Entity Framework Core for data.

Cross-platform

A modern .NET application runs on Windows, Linux and macOS, in containers and on Azure as well as AWS or GCP.

Our scope of work

The work we take on.

Domain model

Structure domain rules and objects to make the software easy to evolve.

Integrations

Connect APIs, processing and data to the company’s applications.

Maintenance

Organize tests, dependencies and runtime upgrades alongside deployment.

Our .NET expertise

The .NET stack we master.

Web & APIs

ASP.NET Core for REST APIs, microservices and web applications; Blazor Server or WebAssembly for interfaces written in C#.

Desktop & mobile

WPF and WinUI 3 for Windows applications, .NET MAUI for mobile and cross-platform, including the takeover of Xamarin applications.

Data

Entity Framework Core with LINQ and migrations, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Dapper when SQL needs to be written by hand.

Cloud & DevOps

Azure (App Service, Functions, containers), Docker and Kubernetes, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps pipelines, monitoring with Application Insights and OpenTelemetry. See also our Microsoft Azure expertise.

Depending on the need, we apply patterns suited to the domain (Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, event-driven processing), without imposing them when a simpler architecture is enough.

Modernization

Modernizing a .NET Framework application.

Many business applications still run on .NET Framework, which is limited to Windows. Migration to modern .NET is prepared component by component (dependencies, incompatible libraries, WCF or Web Forms to replace), with regression tests before each cutover. It opens up access to Linux, containers, performance gains and supported versions.

.NET and AI

Integrating AI into your .NET applications.

For an organization running on Microsoft, AI is often integrated as close as possible to existing systems: an assistant in a business application, search across internal documents, data extraction from forms or letters. Semantic Kernel and the Microsoft.Extensions.AI libraries make it possible to call models (Azure OpenAI or other providers) from a C# application. We build the complete service: access rights, logging, evaluations, error handling and cost management.

Two people organizing tasks on a board

In the field

From technology to real-world use.

To automate data processing across several applications, we describe the input formats, checks and transformation steps. Errors are distinguished from cases that can be retried. Tests verify the business rules and the effects on data, so that a rerun does not produce unexpected duplicates.

The choices that matter

The choices to review before building.

The choice between a web service, a scheduled task and asynchronous processing depends on expected response times and volumes. We separate business libraries from infrastructure details and check dependency compatibility before changing the technical foundation.

From work to deliverables

Delivery your team can take over.

The scope of work specifies the components to build or take over and the validation conditions. We prepare what is needed to understand the changes, verify them and continue the work.

Frequently asked questions

.NET development: your questions.

What is .NET (C#) and why use it?

.NET is Microsoft’s open source, cross-platform development platform; C# is its main language. It is used to build web applications, APIs, services, and desktop and mobile applications, with a good balance between productivity, performance and maintainability.

How does .NET perform compared with Java, Node.js or Go?

Well. ASP.NET Core ranks among the fastest web frameworks in public benchmarks, and each runtime release brings improvements. In practice, an application’s performance depends mainly on its architecture, data access and caching.

What is the difference between .NET Framework and modern .NET?

.NET Framework is limited to Windows and now only receives fixes. .NET (formerly .NET Core, then .NET 5 and later) is cross-platform, open source and faster. New projects start on the latest LTS release; existing applications benefit from migrating step by step.

Can Blazor replace React or Angular?

For many business applications, yes. Blazor lets you build the interface in C# and share code with the back end. React or Angular remain preferable for very rich interfaces or when your front-end team is already trained on them.

Is .NET only for Windows?

No. Since .NET Core, the platform runs on Linux and macOS, in Docker containers and on all major cloud providers. Many recent .NET applications run on Linux.

How does .NET handle databases?

Entity Framework Core is the reference ORM, with LINQ, migrations and change tracking. It supports SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite and Cosmos DB; Dapper complements it for hand-written queries.

How do you deploy a .NET application?

In Docker containers on Kubernetes, on Azure App Service or Azure Functions, or with other cloud providers, with a continuous integration and deployment pipeline (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps).

Can AI be integrated into an existing .NET application?

Yes. Model calls, document search and agents are added as application services, through Semantic Kernel, Microsoft.Extensions.AI or provider SDKs, with the same security and testing rules as the rest of the code. We also take over AI POCs and bring them to production.

What engagement models do you offer?

A fixed-price project for a defined scope, a dedicated team to evolve your application over time, or targeted work: migration to modern .NET, performance, taking over an existing application.

Let’s talk about your technical context.
